Dems Lay Down for Bush's Next War:

Dear Congresswoman Davis,

I've called your office. I've emailed you. I left my name and number with your aid hoping I may someday be able to express myself directly to you. I've posted on SD County Democrats Yahoo group. I've blogged.

You are my representitive. I'm looking to you to stand up now on my behalf, to the leadership of Congress and your party, to the illegitimate residents of the white house and to the Corporate Military Industrial Monster that has all but devoured our democracy and say NO MORE OF THIS MADNESS! NO MORE MONEY FOR THIS DISPICABLE ACT OF AGRESSION! NO MORE WAR!

I can't adequately express my profound disappointment in the behavior and results produced by this congress. THERE IS NOTHING TO FEAR! THERE IS NO POLITICAL RISK. THE PEOPLE WANT YOU TO END THIS WAR.

From Sunsara Taylor, 3/14/07 of World Can't Wait:

The People Must Go "From Protest to Resistance"

Officials said Speaker Nancy Pelosi and other members of the leadership had decided to strip from a major military spending bill a requirement for Bush to gain approval from Congress before moving against Iran...The measure provides nearly $100 billion to pay for fighting in two wars, and includes more money than the president requested for operations in Afghanistan and what Democrats called training and equipment shortages. -AP, March 13, 2007

For all the criticism on the left, Democratic strategists say they are counting on most of the antiwar lawmakers to realize that this current spending bill is the best they can get . N Y Times, March 14

You could close your eyes and pretend it isn’t happening.

Pretend that the new Democratic Congress -- after four years of torture, mass murder and war crimes against the people of Iraq -- didn’t just promise the War-Criminal-In-Chief that they would do nothing to stop a new and even more dangerous war against Iran.

Pretend that these same Democrats -- who have sold you out so many times and at the cost of so many lives -- didn’t just promise to give the president more money than he even asked for to fight his current wars!

Pretend that somehow history -- and the people of the Middle East -- will forgive you.

Still no spine

I'm again considering changing my registration and leaving the
Democratic Party. I've had my fill of "triangulation, calculation and
equivocation". I'm frankly disgusted by the behavior of the DEMOCRATS
in congress.

Yesterday Democratic leaders stripped from a military spending bill
for the war in Iraq a requirement that President Bush gain approval
from Congress before moving against Iran.

I'm discouraged by the Senate's inability to even DEBATE a Ineffectual
emasculated NON BINDING RESOLUTION critical of the Iraq war. It's
disgraceful.

I'm frustrated so many "Democrats" supported CAFTA, NAFTA and the WTO.

The Bankruptcy Bill.

Failed to prevent the appointments of Roberts. Alito. "The REAL DEAL"
Gonzales.

Impeachment is off the table.

I've come to agree with Ralph Nader's declaration that "There's not a
dime's worth of difference" between the Democrats and Republicans.
Until the Democratic Party returns to the value, convictions and vigor
of the Party of FDR, I will be lending my support to other candidates.

RE: FOX ATTACKS OBAMA

A very fair and balanced woman's observation:
