Letter to the Associated Press

Greetings,

In a Chicago Sun Times article by ED JOHNSON of the
ASSOCIATED PRESS, protesters were repeatedly referred
to as anarchists. Was this an intentionally loaded
description intended to minimize the value of the
protesters' message?

Before the ascendance of Bush and his corporate
cronies, I found it difficult to understand the
objections the protesters had to the WMF and the G7
(G8 now), especially as the story was covered in the
corporate controlled mainstream press. However, my
consciousness had been raised and I'm more aware of
the protester's grievances. If the protestors
identified themselves as anarchists, then obviously I
have no cause for conern with respect to this article.
But I might have like to seen the protesters cast in a
more fair-minded light.

Regards,
